He'd call them savage pigfuckers at the very least.

GQ's £3.50 too.   :furious:

I nominate Pendulum. They could go in solely on the basis of that performance but they're fucking wank anyway. Apologies if they're already in, I did do a quick search.

Definitely deserve to go in- as Marcus Intalex once said about his Soul:ution radio show:

Quote from: Marcus "Mr. Grumpy" Intalex
This is real drum and bass made by real people, not by a 17 year old rock band who started making drum and bass as soon as they heard their first Shy FX album...

that pendulum/coldplay thing is shit but other than that I like that first pendulum album - so its cheesy bouncy D&B for people who don't really like D&B, but so what? it does the job. I love it when people talk about D&B like its fucking highbrow, like a string quartet or some shit. its not, it inducing bowel movement and running on the spot for hours drenched in sweat.

I'm no D&B snob but my problem with Pendulum is that they released one catchy D&B type tune and then followed it up with ever poorer versions of the same record. How people are still enthusing about them as, two albums in, they churn out tune after tune which is exactly the fucking same except with increasingly wank 70's style prog rock vocoder lyrics (about "the gates of hell" or some such hackneyed reference) is beyond me. They already suck cock so let them suck Chris Martin's cock in hell with where they belong.

I've only heard the first album really, so if the second one is full of vocoder shit then that blows. the first album is good though.

Radio 1.

Firstly all the DJ's like Whiley, Bowman and Lowe who tell us just how amazing the next band/song we're going to hear is, only for it to be utter rubbish.

Taking the 'In new music we trust' too far. I'll all for new music but new music does not equal good music.

Allowing crap bands to play crap covers (and then.......well I refer you to my first point).

Having a sports reporter who I'm pretty sure reads his reports from the bbc website sports pages word for word.

Chris Evans on Radio 2

:guilty: I listen to Radio 2 occasionally.

Chris Evans is a tit, who talks over the records he's playing! FFS, talk, then play a song you little ginger twat!

pretty much all radio DJs annoy me - these days they all just love the sound of their own voices too much. The ideal radio DJ is someone who hates the sound of their own voice.

Please make a space for anything by Neil Diamond.

Met some friends for lunch in Sydney yesterday and the restaurant would not stop playing this unutterable shite! Until one table got up and left before their food arrived that is!! We laughed and the music changed. :great:

Would like to second Carnage's earlier nomination for Sydney drivers while I'm at it. I thought Melbourne drivers were pretty crap before I went up there.

I agree. They sound like Maroon 5 which is reason enough to put em in.

Hot off the press - the tosser who lives in the side street next to us - you deserve Room 101 for driving an Audi with tinted windows, random extra "performance" badges and a fucking sound system that plays the best of AC\DC at full volume constantly regardless of the time of day!!

Also going in is rain during a climbing trip - I appreciate that rain is very important but the last four climbing trips have been blighted by rain and it is beginning to annoy me almost as much as random Audi bloke mentioned above.

I am quite staggered that nobody has got around to mentioning Coldplay on this thread!

I've commissioned the ghost of Dante to create an entirely new level of Hell, just for coldplay.

Celine Dion needs to be chucked in this new level immediately! Some cretin at work tried to inflict a CDs worth of her infernal racket on us at work today!!

amen to that brother. That bloody song from titanic was godawful and well overplayed everywhere at the time. Infact that entire film oozed wackness from evey orifice. DiCaprio is a sprout faced cunt, i'd be happy to swab his eyes with bleach any day. And you know whats going to happen, it sinks, we all know that, get over it. The only redeeming feature of the film is the fact the entire premise excludes the possibilty of a sequel. "Titanic II - This Time Watch Where You're Fucking Going".

I rejoiced the day that horse faced whore claimed she was retiring from making music and did a farewell tour. But she fucking lied to everyone, came back, and everyone was glad to see her back in spite of the fact that she lied to the world.

While the door is open, can Alphabeat go in. Ironic or not, twee pop is awful. An everytime I hear her voice I want to remove her vocal cords with blunt pliers and garden shears.

Can I nominate misleading gastronomic nomenclature in resturaunt menus?. Out for lunch with a client on Monday we ordered 'sauteed seafood served on a bed of micro herbs' for starters and wondered out loud what these mysterious minature delights might be. I said "It'll probably be cress" to draw a laugh but sure enough our scallops arrived on a bed of fucking cress. The only thing missing was a hollowed out eggshell with a face drawn on it..

(Chris - this was in the Olive Tree just in case you get peckish)

Thanks, I'd heard the Olive Tree was good (I presume this is a chain restaurant) and so I'll avoid it! I think it does gluten free food though, so might have to go...

Right...not sure if this is just me but...people who record gigs they're at on their digital camera / mobile phones.

I mean...where do I start?

You're at the gig! If you want to watch it through a tiny screen buy the DVD, sit a long way from the TV when you're watching it and, oh yeah, get the fuck out of my shortarsed way right now.

Do these people plan to watch this shit back?

Are they under the impression that they're going to get anything better than a flashy, blurry mess with a tinny soundtrack that no-one will be able to make out?

Example:

When Jay Z played the Albert Hall a while back we got good tickets - actually they were great tickets - row AA, near as dammit sitting on the stage on the left hand side.

There were folk in the stalls, even in the boxes (a box!! at the Albert Hall!! And they'd rather be filming than watching the gig!) recording the gig on their cameras / phones. I guarantee all their footage came out shite.

You missed immersing yourself in one of the best gigs you'll ever see, by one of the best entertainers for a generation for this:
