Who would kick UK butt?
October 22, 2002, 09:15:08 am
There are many rumours of an impending UK visit by the claw-fingered Dave Graham:

Will he clean up, or will he be humbled by the gritstone? What should he be pointed at? Who should be quaking as their projects are dispatched with ease? Does anyone care?

I for one think it's great when a foreigner waltzes in and shocks our scene - it's good for the sport. Le Menestrals piss-taking solo of Revalations all those years back certainly shook things up then.

Fred Nicole, Chris Sharma, ??????

Just remembered that I read an interview with Bernd Zangerl a while back where he was saying he fancied some grit action - now that'd be interesting...

Obviously his first port of call will be Bell Hagg - naturally. After all the hype its recieved in the mags and on video i recon he'll be keen to work that 5c traverse. I also hear he was building a replica of Nunns Elliminate in his cellar to train on.

Tsk! Bell Hagg is so passé, donthca know? Fox Hagg is where the new in crowd go.... but of course, maybe we should point him at the true qualidy and head straight out to Agden Rocher and Stannington Ruffs.

Poor lad won't know what's hit him after all that time spent on that rubbish in Europe and the US.

Then there's 3* classics like Flying Buttress at Stanage, mmmmmm....feel the polish....

Actually, now I think about it, there was that Swiss geeza who recently flashed both Brad Pit and Jerry's Traverse (Stanage) - not a bad day out.

Ivan Tresche had a pretty good run when he came over this year (8Ball for example). he even ended up doing a Stevie Haston E7 at Craig Dorys down on the Lleyn Peninsular!
Mind you, wait until his brother Michi arrives: he's the really strong one!

Ivan Tresch.....

That's the fella! Presume that's the same strong Swiss geeza, and there's not whole squadrons of them busting us up.

Dave will clean up when he comes over! Somehow i don't think he's gonna be humbled by the grit ! I just hope he gets some good conditions! He wants to try our current batch of 9as too so should be interesting! 8)

Won't most of our 9as be wet by now? I'm thinking Mutation and Northern Lights.

Anyone know when he's over? It'd be good to try and get some video or something...
