Maybe they are out of focus and/or it's very windy? If you were going to dick around with it surely you would do someting a bit more dramatic.

How would that change the shutter speed on him but not the girls walking?

it wouldn't, but the flashes/lights would go some way to freezing him. as there's no lights on the shorties, they wouldn't be frozen. plus i reckon he's coming towards the camera, so there's neglible side-to-side movement that might register as blur. conversely, they're walking across the frame.

Yeah, he's either going away from or towards the camera - he could have done a spin after launching off the ramp in the foreground and over the metal bar, or he could be doing something off the wall.

It'd be easiest to ask the photographer but I fear his outrage in French.

Rider's Wives, literally.

Phase 2 of friends' Trash the Dress. Climbing in it next, then the Tomatina in Spain will be the last one, as it won't be white after that.

It's good but like Roam it's not as good at The Collective imho.

Aye. The Collective was miles ahead of anything else at the time, then Roam was at a similar level. Good still, but no further giant step.

watched bits of all these on youtube etc but just borrowed seasons on dvd. some bits really made me want to ride a bike. hopefully borrowing collective and road soon so pretty psyched to check them out on proper telly.

All three of the collective films are way above the usual in terms of interest and beauty. Never mind the HUGE gaps.

But them all. Now.

Word.

I can neither spell, nor type.

One would have thought after all time I spend on here to have rectified at least one of these failings.. alas not.

that seathwaite / duddon fells side is the best natural flowing singletrack XC I have done in the UK... the climb up to walna... I pushed, a lot!

As happy as I am to appear in a thread entitled "Riders Wives" in a picture by Cofe I just thought that I might post my favourite photo from when my (real) spouse and I did the Fred Whitton route over a weekend.

Quite Rouleur I thought.

Beautiful weekend in September, and much more relaxed than trying to get round in a day in May. Some stunning scenery and a great way to see the Lakes.

Wrynose Pass, with Hardknott in the distance.

Fetteresso forest, near stonehaven. Loads of unofficial trails around the place, from technical single track to some big drops, log rides, see saws etc.

Did the circuit here last weekend. Foresters have been around and removed each and every man made feature from the forest. Nothing left, not even the little bits of northshore over very boggy ditches etc. Bastards.
