I used to ride trials about 10 years ago, and met Martyn Ashton and Martin Hawyes at a demo and got their autographs and was thrilled to bits. Was really gutted when I heard about his accident, this definitely brought a tear of joy to my eye!

He only puts in about 10 pedal strokes in the whole thing. Good flow.

If you read the text on the YouTube page it talks about a custom road built to film from. About a minute and a half in (sorry too lazy to get exact time) you can see where the road and bike track cross. Also at the end when it pans back to the start, even though it looks like CGI, you can see the road on it.

Edit. Wasn't too lazy after all. The road passes between the gap jump at 1.59 in.

Yeah, I meant the dirt track they used to get the panning shot...but on another viewing the actual jump track is much more noticeable anyway. I'm sure after a few months it'll all blend in nicely, I was just nitpicking really

Yeah I thought something similar, the tracks do appear to rather blemish some beautiful scenery, guess its some private land in the US somewhere, still great vid though.

This is all over pinkbike and singletrackworld so I thought I'd put it here too, just so I can repeat how astonishing I find it. Dan Atherton giving it maximum beans on one of the Enduro World Series stages at Whistler. Hypnotic.

Hard to fully describe this, but in the middle tress closed out easy section, that's double black, I braked all the way down. Whilst being coached, took 8 mins at least, he did it in less than 3.

He got down the hill in 14. For me, 1;15 is quick. Yes... Really. I can ride double black Mtb.

Thought the perspective would help.

Wow. Totally sucked into the breathing element of it. What an athletic display.
