Danny Hart was looking good until he almost nailed himself, how he stayed on his bike was miraculous  gutted he only managed 7th as he was awesome to watch up to, and after his "moment"

It's not me. Great vid, mainly on Wharncliffe off piste I think. Horscroft is the blubberchops at the start of that one. Shame a ledge like Minaar had to be a corporate monkey (what's that? Santa Cruz only do 650b or 29" now Greg?), esp when he won the Worlds on 26" only a few months back...

I'm not qualified to comment on 29 / 650 / 26, I find 26ers go quite fast enough for my abilities, but I can only imagine that bicycling is now such a big industry that they are following the Gillette path - how many razor blades is enough? 650b is halfway between 26 and 29, so what about when they start filling in the gaps?

About ten years ago I decided to do all my shopping local and went for a pack of Mach3 blades at the chemists, and shit myself at the price even then.

Went home and dropped 30 quid I couldn't really afford on one of these Merkur and about a tenner on more good quality Derby blades than I'll probably ever use. And a brush. And I learned how to shave with it. Might take me 30s longer in the morning, I'll take 10 mins over it if I do it before bed, it's a lovely thing to do.

Ten years later I still get a better shave than the 5 blade Wilkinson Sword job they were handing out free in the supermarket the other month (£15 for 4 cartridges FFS).

I suppose Minaar and co. will ride he bikes they are given, who wouldn't if they are going to have a fruitsome career of racing bicycles instead of having to graft? But then again, even Peaty has the odd straight razor shave from a master barber
