Foot Bruising
August 14, 2007, 01:01:17 pm
K so i've somehow bruised the part of my foot where your big toe connects to your foot. It happened tradding back in April and it's not got any better. It's majorly tender to touch and hurts if i weight it. I am able to climb in stiff boots ok though.

I'm wondering if it's been a result of gradual stress or if it occured spontaneously? Does anybody know what it could be? I've tried a quick search on t'internet and one possibility is bruising/stress fracture of a Sesamoid, although i'm not sure if i got the wrong end of the stick reading it...

Help appreciated.

John.

possibly tendonitis; worth seeing a psysio to check as it'll probably need rest if it is.

Yeah, i doubt it's a bruising problem.

Having a quick google around, it sounds like it could be Sesamoiditis ?

Google for sesamoiditis and see if that matches your symptoms - it could certainly be caused by standing on small holds in soft boots, etc...

Bruised feet hurt like fuck so you have my sympathies.  All of mine from silly lobs healed much faster than four months so you might want to even have an X-ray.
