The Dates for this years comps as follows:

Thursday Nights on:

Round 1 - 6th September
Round 2 - 4th October
Round 3 - 8th November
Round 4 - 6th December
Round 5 - 31st January
Round 6 - 28th February
Round 7 - 27th March

15 Problems from V0 - V9 ish
7.00pm - 10.00pm
6 quid Entry

It would be great to see some new faces down this year, last year proved successful, for both juniors and the seniors seeing some impressive performances from the unlikely.
They are a good laugh, with the usually friendly laid-back barn atmosphere... with a dose of competitive excitement, especially as a few of the local young guns are starting to crank... will we see the title slip from Mr Bournes hands!  :-\

All details available @ http://www.cliffsbarn.co.uk

Cheers Probes

Nice one.  I would come along but 1. I am currently a lardy unfit person and 2. I think I'll be away.  We shall see.

How you doing on Colt?  I assume it's your chalk on the slopy pinch and beyond? :off:

Cheer for the info Probes, I may well make my way there occasionally, for a giggle you understand given my current permanent weakness.

Im sure you chaps will do fine, there's a massive mix in standards that come so, the routes will probably be 6x upto v1, 6x v2-v6 & 3x V7 and above. So no excuses eh?  ;)

I'll be going  straight after school, not via scouseland, so y'll have to make your own way up there. I'd say sorry but there's nothing to apologise for   :P

Went for the first time last night and really enjoyed myself! Never entered a comp before and will definitely be going again. Good probs, nice atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

Any chance of updating the scores on the web site dudes?

Richie Hatton is my hero. I won't invite him next time ;)

Was a good comp run by Paul and the problems were very well set (especially the ones involving volume hugging).

It would be cool if there could be some straight up problems set on the wave upstairs for the next round, but understandable if you want to keep it a bit quieter for those coming the barn for a training session as opposed to the comp!

Injuries of late, lack of climbing..etc ;) To be fair I just fell off an easy move to a jug on problem 11 like an idiot, will hopefully avoid doing so next round! Problem 6 was utterly nails though with the humid temps and grease on the volume edge!

Yeah Jerome Meyer has similar difficulties hence accounting for his consistently poor indoor performances. YOU NEED TO REST!!
