I posted a link on this thread "now look you" that links to PBHQ and exercises.  I can't be arsed to repeat myself an infinitum.   >:(

Ignore all the ACW CW crap:  Turning it away from your body is clockwise.  Turning it into your body is ACW.  Water is also wet.  Fire is hot.  Other basic lessons in life such as how to suck eggs will cost you cash I'm afraid.

I certain almost all of us can work out what it is in our L too . . .

I'm not grumpy - I've had sexytime and everyfink, but you get people saying "I've read the whole thread now" then ask a question such as the perennial classic, "How can you start it w/ out a string!"  Interesting question . . .   By-the-by, how do you start it w/ out a string?

I read the whole thread in the beginning before I initially posted on it but that was ages ago, years of abuse mean my photographic memory isn't what it used to be so now I have to go and read it all again to find the link  :boohoo:

My short attention span isn't helping either, see how I came back to check you hadn't decided you were too harsh and had now posted the link for me, I'm lazy but ever hopeful  ;)

Reckon you would be hard pushed to correlate anything but forearm mass to PB ability.  Or perhaps something involving boredom threshhold?

Try the 60s and 90s events  :o

i've tried the 60sec one. Think I got something like 7500. My arm died about 40 seconds in and I ended up doing a full body shake just to keep it going

What I can't work out is how your average revs/30sec increases between your best 60 and 90 second scores.

60sec 30sec average = 5083
90sec 30sec average = 5093

The first ~10 secs have the lowest revs because you're getting the ball up to speed, so the longer you spin the better your avg?

Most people do the endurance from a rolling start (i.e. ball already up and running).

With regards to your average, its all to do with sampling.  The number it reports is an average over the time period.  This average is a sample of one (a point estimate) from a distribution of possible scores which ranges from zero to whatever the physical upper limit is (viz. Akis or some other wad).  If you repeat your 60 second you'll find that you don't get exactly 5083, but somewhere thereabouts (assuming your putting in the same effort under similar conditions, i.e. starting whilst ball already rolling).  Repeat this say 30 times (a good minimum to get a decent estimate of the population mean) and you get a better estimate of what your 60 second score is.

Ditto for the 90 second, again its a point estimate.  Repeat it 30 times and you're not going to get the same score, but somewhere thereabouts, average these out and you get a better impression of what your 90 second average revs are.

If the two estimates from 60 seconds and 90 seconds are close then thats indicative of stamina/endurance, i.e. you can maintain a constant speed for long periods without fatigue (unless your using the "burst" method of course).  If your 90 second is lower than your 60 second then you lack stamina/endurance.

Note that what people are reporting here is there best score on the endurance, thats not to say they get that score each and every time.

Everyone should get new balls (especially me) but train on your old balls and use the new only for high-speed attempts.  The more you use them the slower they get.

I'm still a fan of the original noisier ball, it's a sluggish performer but the resistance feels good for training.  The lack of a counter makes it very comfortable (especially if you've smaller hands, Magpie).

I don't think I'm hardcore enough to warrant two balls just yet Houd, maybe one day, when I get in the big boys league  8)
