:furious:   Frankly I'm disgusted w/ this thread.   :furious:

80% of the people involved haven't posted a new score in ages.  In fact I bet the last time they touched their ball (!) was months back.

Waddage to magpie for having a crack!  Poo-poo to most of the others here

Nice one GCW bit of healthy comp never did anyone no harm.  (Queers!)

I was speaking to Crouch about this today in the staffroom over some Lucozade. He seems to have lost some of his motivation in favour of climbing but was murmuring about servicing his ball to attempt a new pb. I'm the same and am pretty confident of a better score on a fully functioning ball.

I'm on 11816 now - getting there, but I think I've got a 12.5k in me somewhere. I'm yet to crack the fiddling about for a good running start at the endurance events, either that or I peak too soon (insert your own joke here)...more soon.

I'm failing miserably to improve my max speed, so I'm playing around on the endurance stuff.  I think I can get over 10,200 on the 60s with one hand.  Getting 10,100 most tries.

Houd, have a crack with one hand (fnaarr fnaarr) and see how far you get in a minute....

I don't get this Powerballing. My best score was my third go. Or something. Ever since then I've barely got close. The thing gets to about 9,000 and then starts going weird. It doesn't seem particularly tiring, more a matter of technique. I think I need a coach....

I'm now up to 10092! This doesn't actually move me up the ratings any on UKB, but it does place me at number 126 in the 'Ladies World Powerballing League: Division 1'. And yes, I'm embarrassed to say I have actually registered that score on the Powerballs website.  :-[

Harpoon gun AND bouldering!!

Errr, yes. I'd forgotten about that piece of poetic licence. One of those was added for comedy value, based on the fact its Akis's preferred sport. I'll let you guess which one, but bear in mind there's not much to shoot in Sheffield with a harpoon gun apart from the odd chav or Ring Ouzel.

Mine has started making funny grinding noises, I'm going to blame this for not bettering my score last night.  The added element of actual lady competition is enough to get me trying really hard  :wank:

Competition is good ;D

I find there is a large element of technique involved as sometimes I struggle to even reach 8,000.

There must be, I'm fairly solid at 8000 then occasionally I do something and end up over 9000, soon as I work out the technique I'll be unstoppable, maybe.  ;D

I suspect you and sc2004 may remain ahead of me for some time, still, at elast I'm not at the very bottom  8)

I agree - it seems as though you have to get it going just right...

I'm currently trying to stay away from it though. I got it because I can't climb at the moment (shoulder injury) and I thought it might be useful as a training aid in the meantime. The faster speeds seem to be aggravating my shoulder, but it's just so difficult to stop!

I think you can hold it different ways to work different areas, maybe there will be something on the site to tell you the best way to hold it so you don't mess with your shoulder?  I think someone posted a link to different excercise you can do with it further back in the thread.
