After coming out of the cave how far right can you go? I ask because I saw chalk on the arete over to the right. TIA.

Get yerself a staffs guide.

The arete on the far side is a different route.
The eliminate between the two is ascent of women - scary direct finish :shock:

And its 'Ascent of Man', not 'a man', as in the title of Jacob Bronovwhatski's anthropological classic.

Maybe in cockfax.

In the staffs guide it gets the same grade - probably fair as you don't get so far from the gear.
