i'm off to magic wood for the first time at the start of may to meet some mates there. having bought tickets to bergamo/milan, i'm now wondering how the hell i get to the woods without the aid of a car.
i'll be solo and my italian is gash.
anyone point me in the right direction?

There is a thread on here somewhere about travelling via bus (which is easy) from France. Not sure about Italy though.

Don't know for sure cos I never went there without car, but you should probably take train from Bergamo/Milan to Bellinzona and then bus to Chur/Thusis. And then from there you take Swiss post bus which drop you in front of camp or in village if you stay in bunk house.
Bear in mind that this is just a guessing. And yes like Dylan said renting a car is easiest and fastest solution to get there.

Hey Nible.Am about to embark on that trip tomorrow morning.Sheffield to Leeds.Then Leeds to Bergamo,then Bergamo to Milan,then Milan to bellinzona and so on.I will let you know how it went next week.
