Thinking about a pricey upgrade, the lenses I have now are pretty soft. Have read mostly good reviews, but not talked to any climbers who have used this lens.

got this lense as a 30th b'day present from the misses last year and it's seldom been taken off my camera since (other than switching to a 10-22 for close up shots).

V. pricey but a worthy investment (if you do a google for reviews of it they all come up with glittering praise)
