Nope, touched the last hold several times but not quite enough. Tried it various ways, with fleece on, then off, t-shirt on, t-shirt off, hat on normal, hat on backwards but still no joy. Is within spitting distance and its just a case of grunting that extra little bit.

It was unbelieveable down there, perfect conditions. Wathced local Polish strong man Mariusz do the SDS to Improper Opera as well, very inspiring stuff!!

One happy Golt after today.

Being happy is more more important than the send I suppose.  I've only tried Picnic SDS briefly and fell off getting the last sidepull.  I keep meaning to go back, but there's a lot of places I need to go to.......

You'll get it soon.

I shall be trying Picnic again, this time without hat, T-shirt, or fleece. A sight no to be missed.

Its funny you should post that, I was just chatting to someone who paid me a surprise visit at the mighty stone and made that exact same comment when they arrived!!

Top, top day. Didn't get Picnic but had a good day working Lateral Gruntings, it will go soon me thinks.

Bollocks! Now I'm going to have to go and siege something else. That was the only thing I'd done that Mariusz hadn't, bloody foreigners.  ;)

There must be something wrong with you Golt, you just have to make that one move stick, how long have you been getting up there, you should have got it by now, and yes it was very inspiring stuff watching him do impropa SDS

Power pinch is about 6c+ or 7a yeah, it has been made a lot easier since the hold broke.

Unlucky fella!! He was getting close, then he rested for a bit, popped on his MP3 player and sent it! I said "What did you have playing on that???!!!"

Still fooking hard. I was looking in the LakesRockfax and it says to foich lateral up the ramp was V10, to finish to the bottom of powerpinch was V9??!!!  :-\ This seems well wrong to me. Finishing up the ramp is well easier, go figure.

For what it's worth, I reckon into the ramp is about 7b and to thebase of Power Pinch is 7b+. The issue with the ramp getting V10/7c+ arose through (I think) Hockstack climbing the ramp to it's termination (King Pokey 7c/+) rather than the clean holds above Statstick, which is were everyone else finishes. The problem is that the ramp is so mucky above these holds that few people are going to be arsed to clean the top holds. The easiest solution is to describe the line as finishing at the top of Statstick 7b/V8, and point out that it can/has been followed to it's termination at at 7c/7c+.

I did the LG PP link before the hold breakage and without the cheat footlock beta this is hard 7c+/V10. If you use the footlock beta and now that PP is a bit easier it's probably 7c/V9 ,maybe easy 7c+. Sill knackering like!
