I don't know how old the pictures are but seeing as Paul is nowt but a young scamp I think he's stretching the genre "Old Skool" to it's limits.  ;)

I really must pull my finger out and get a scanner. There's a treasure trove of Old Skool wrongness at my Mum's house. Is there a way of converting slides to digital images?

There is indeed, something like this would do the trick.

Or you could try what Grimer did and just photograph projected images! It seemed to work quite well, some stuff on UKC - http://www.ukclimbing.com/images/dbpage.html?id=76712 maybe try for a blank wall though.

That has worked well. Be worth a try anyway.

Slack one, do you own one of those? Does it do a good job?

I'm pretty sure my father in law has some contraption he uses in conjunction with a standard scanner. If you already have a scanner this could be a cheap solution?

Sorry no, don't have any slides to scan.

It has come to my notice that some people here regard wearing 5.10 Pinks as 'Old School', or possibly even Skool.  This cannot be true!

EBs...with leather patches. Socks. White trousers. Stitch plate. Bucket chalk bag. Now you're talking.

Not bouldering, but it's the boulder problem pitch.

Not to mention oval biners, bandolier, nasty looking troll harness. Who and where?

I reckon it is the boulder problem pitch on Astroman.

Duncan - what are those wires like?

Astroman, May 1982.  2007 version here. Or from a different angle.

Climber is shy and retiring Liverpudlian.  Wires were small but OK if I remember correctly.  But then they always are when it's your mate's lead.

Does that work?

Apparently not for me.

You're getting close, perhaps if you right-click on the image and select "Open in New Tab" (or "Window" if your on an older version of IE) then you'll have the URL of the picture itself rather than the page on which it is from, then try copying and pasting that URL in.

General overview of posting pics is here.

Facebook can be funny about linking images hosted on their site to external sites.

Careful with buying slide scanners - what a surprise that you get what you pay for.

Am currently undergoing the massive excercise of scanning slides using GraemeA's scanner since he's off bumming around the States on the Works profits.  He got one of these http://www.parkcameras.com/ProductDetails/mcs/referrer/Froogle/productID/9217/groupID/13/categoryID/66 which is ok, but all the really good ones I come across I will get scanned professionally to get a result that would do justice to the photo if printed out.

No joy, its the same URL as the last one... http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=893633&id=781581517&ref=mf  Ideally you want the URL where the image is hosted, and in all likelihood its going to be a JPEG image so will end in .jpg.

Don't have a Farcebook account myself otherwise I'd find it for you.

Hmmm... doesn't work for me... couple of thoughts:
1. it's Facebook, which is easy, but not everyone can see them... but if you don't mind having a few people comlpaining then stick with it.
2. I believe you may have linked to the page, rather than the actual photo. Do this by right clicking on the photo and selecting the properties. Then select, and copy the Address. Then do the image link thing like you did previously.

3. I do have an FB account, and I can't get to it. I think FB may've increased the security maybe?
