My mum's 306 is for sale. Here are all the specs. It's an ideal cheap little car. Running costs are low, insurance group is very low, and my mum's driven it so it's definitely not been ragged!

1997 Peugeot 306 1.61 Meridian, diablo red, 5 doors, 79700miles, Hatchback, Red , Air Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, Antilock Brakes,  Central Locking, Electric Windows,   Fog Spot Lamps, Immobiliser, Adjustable seats, Power Steering, Radio/Cassette, Rear Wash Wipe, Head restraints, Folding rear seats.

Since my mum has had it it's had a full service & MOT history by the Main Peugeot Dealers. It's recently had new brakes (discs & pads), exhaust & cat converter, wheel bearings, cambelt, battery. Tyres all in very good condition.

My mum's selling it because she can't drive a manual anymore so she's after an automatic. Looking for £900.

Might be interested. Any signs of rust?

(presume you're based in sheffield so a test-drive'll be out of the question...)

I'll post some pics up ASAP. My mum did send me some, but it would be fair to say that a blind man with no fingers could have taken better pictures. I'm on the case with getting some more. Car is based in Derby (30min from sheffield). From what I remember there is no rust anywhere, apart from some slight bubbling on the alloys which is no big deal. Yes, it is a petrol.

Hmmm... Might be too expensive though, my dad reckoned £400 for that car of that age... Care to barter?

hee hee. Very good. I care not for bartering, but I do challenge you to find one for that price. Parkers price is about £650 with 90k. However, parkers is undervalued for these cars. If you look through completed items on ebay you will see what they are selling for on the open market. Trust me, I have done my research. But if you do find one for £400, you'll see it's a pile of shit, or you'll buy it only to find it's a pile of shit 3 months later. Best of luck though. I'll post up pics as soon as I have them, just so you can see what a wonderful car it is.
