Adam, I think your post highlights why people give you negative karma. I hope you don't take this is in the wrong way because I am simply stating what I feel to be people's thoughts... but I think it grates against certain people when you show how well connected you are. I don't know why exactly, but implying you know/climb with certain uber wads pisses some people off, and I think your above post only comfirms that. Sorry if you think I should have PM'd you instead of writing this publicly. No offence intended.

All he said was that he's heard that Malc Smith is back climbing again, which doesn't imply that he climbs with uberwads just that he's read this thread

I quite like hearing the rumours.  I get a bit jealous when I hear things like `someone's onsighted E9 but I'm not allowed to say who it is', but I'd rather know that than nothing.

I am in the rumours prefered camp too. It was funny the other month though when Adam posted a few with every post obliquely mentioning that he was near and possibly friends with Chris Sharma. Keeps things interesting in my opinion.
