Looks a lot smaller in that vid than it does in Dan's!  Maybe it's because he dispatches it in such steady fashion

Oh god not more oversaturation with endless Gimmerknowe videos ;)

Nice one, nice close-up showing the moves. The video is really stuttery on the non-send footage though??

might be the video editor you use. I used a free one that kept doing that, I switched to another and it fixed the job.

I was lamenting the lack of posts on this thread. The glory days of beardown productions are long gone! Guy VG, LBP, and the rest, where are they now? Perhaps Instagram has destroyed the amateur bouldering short? I for one don't climb anything that takes longer than 1 minute anymore, what's the point of you can't get the likes? Perhaps everything that can be climbed is already on YouTube?

Then I thought, I used to make little videos, I'll make another one. Relive the good old days. It's like Brexit, an attempt to regain former imagined glories, except not as shit.

A point of note. It may look like it's snowing then we climb Nine Pebble Slab. This is a trick of editing, like when the Queen appeared to storm out a meeting. The Queen would never storm out and I would never climb damp grit.

So here it is, a collection of climbs from last season. You've probably seen them all on film before, just skip through them or better yet don't watch it at all. Think how many Instagram pics you could scroll past in the time it takes to watch this clip.

 Nice! Enjoyed that.

I never make climbing videos because I have a bulky camera so it’s just too much hassle to take it with me I’m always injured. But if I wanted to, what would be a good camera to get?

I looked at the GoPro Hero7 White, but there were some negatives (frame size 1440 not 1080, built in battery).  The black version looks good but it’s too much money. The Apeman A80 gets a good review however.

Thought  this version might be worth a punt..https://www.amazon.co.uk/apeman-Waterproof-Stabilization-Batteries-Accessories/dp/B07DN4JF4B/ref=sr_1_4_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1545488242&sr=1-4-spons&keywords=Apeman&psc=1&smid=A3JMIDAUM9Q9CM

Any thoughts very welcome as I know nothing about these gadgets!

Lovely Highrepute.

I am definitely liking the no music videos, captures the moment so much more.

Unless I’m missing something from looking at the specs you’ll just be able to set it to record at 1080.

Decent video software should let you have the resolution of the finished product lower than the source footage anyway- there are a number of advantage to doing this, although it will make your computer work harder!

Thanks. I agree. Although also I can't be bothered finding free to use music so easier to keep it raw!

A lot of that vid was filmed with my phone. I got a little 2£ adapter to fitx it to a tripod off eBay. If all you want is a quick point and shot then phones are very good these days.

Just slightly more inconvenienced when the wind blows it off a rock and it breaks.

Full time looks great. Lovely stuff. All about the mobile footage for me these days to. The idea of trailing a massive camera around ugh.

Cheers.

Mixture, older videos where Panasonic  GH4 and Lx10. Last 6month predominately GH5. Also recently use a atomos shogun as an external recorder! Hope that’s helps! (Recommend GH4)

Lots of strong contenders:

 ;)

You missed the Bowderstone though, which is clearly the winner.

All legitmate claims and in no way click bait!

Bowderstone is amazing, however, hardly any boulders top out! Lanny Block and Careless are probs strong contenders though!
