I never look at 8a.nu and there is nothing obvious on their front page or the videos section that relates to "l'ugola".  If you can paste a link to the page its showed on I'll embed it here for you.

I've climbed hundreds of VS routes in my time and regularly used holds smaller than that

I crimp absolutely everything so it happens all the time, worst one I've ever had was on West Side when the LH crimp blew, down to the bone on 3 knuckles, hurt like a cunt, took weeks to heal, bad times.

I tore the whole pad of my index finger off when my foot slipped as I was crimping the pebble on that fucking problem (as lagers will recall).

The good thing is my finger grew a new pad whereas some fat cunt ripped the pebble off and it's now dead.

Ha ha bit of inanimate stuff, I win!*

You're more likely to sit on a pad in the middle of the crux move than break your back on it - the crux of the problem is not sitting down mid-crux.

Eh, all good. Stopped climbing as a result of persistent injuries and lack of psyche, so redirected my obsessive personality towards surfing. Cape Town is still a glorious place to live - reckon I've surfed 25 times this year already. Not missing climbing very much.
