I liked it Ollie, kinda trippy. Its different, not your standard: person climbing problem, filmed in HD using lots of DOF, with 'cool' music. Music's an aquired taste anyway, you cant please everyone, especially jaded grumpy old men...

I don't remember hearing any dubstep so it gets a "like" from me.

Thanks nai. After reading the accolades from others on here who'd done it I was keen to check it out. Fair to say it doesn't disappoint. One of the finest and best problems I've ever done.

A total of 2 sessions, 6 hours of travelling, 300 miles of driving all to climb a 6m problem. Yet totally worth it.

A few things. Dan varian added a couple of other 7s more recently but it's close enough to the likes of guisecliff, almscliff etc. that you could visit two venues in a day to get the most out of a trip.

And I should also mention to avoid the crag between 15th march to 30th June due to the possible disturbance of ground nesting birds. It's also under the crow act.

Good selection of problems and good cleaning on A Little Sparkle. Love that problem :)

I'm not altogether convinced that the gardening on the top, nor the blanket brushing of the face, was necessary. I felt the moss was part of the charm
I guess many classics we know were like that at some point, so I'm not saying it's wrong.

I wish more people would clean the green. Good effort, I say. Moss grows back fast. This is pretty low impact maintenance, without which esoteric problems become less and less appealing to climb, and the well travelled classics take more of a battering.

This is a fair comment.

A Little Sparkle is in amongst the trees at Guisecliff, so will always attract moss if it doesn't get regular ascents. It should be clean at the moment  ;)

I'm not altogether convinced that the gardening on the top, nor the blanket brushing of the face, was necessary.

When we arrived there was moss overhanging the top and it needed removing to expose the finishing jug. We also cleared a small area behind that to make it easier to top out.

My main point behind the vid was to try and show some quality problems a little off the beaten track in the hope it might encourage others to do them.

If it needed cleaning then it needed cleaning. I haven't been for 20 months or so. It's definitely worth the walk.
