So topping out defiently is the weakest of the many weak links in my climbing chain. As proved by since this two weeks ago I've flashed two 6a+'s sent a 6b and got a 6c in about 30mins in two trips out because none of them had topouts... a lot of topping out is in order in future trips out me thinks.

if thats you in the video milford on a quick glance at your style its maybe that your topping out success is suffering from a lack of trust in your feet and your trying to make up for that lack of footwork with strength. sorry to be negative and im no climbing master just what i observed.

it was partly a lack of trust in my foot on that foothold but mainly just a distrust of my hands being on a pretty slopey top and generally of topping out. Haven't topped out that many times and that didn't really have anything on top to pull on, I really dislike the getting your weight over the top of your hands where it feels like you could tip back so not having any holds wasn't ideal. I think I just need to spend some time topping out lots of easier problems to get used to it and get more confident although in general my technique isn't as good as it should be but its improving the more I'm climbing outside

Worth working on outdoors, as it's rare you have to indoors. Burbage South is a good place to work on it. And get it down before you head to Font!

Only while its cold enough for weaklings to shine - will be back to give Full Power a proper go at the weekend, but then the clocks'll go forward and I'll be relegated for the summer by the campus monkeys.
