Looks like a lovely place left with some enormous tick marks! But then judging by their taste in music, subtle isn't their forte.

but there are at least two new instant classics:
- WALKING out of home to the boulders
- SAILING to the boulders
and the all time classics:
- DRIVING to the boulders;
- RAGAMUFFIN soundtrack.

Spot on.  :agree:

What a shocking display of donkey marks. I propose this vid as a candidate for a new category: "sub non-quality bouldering videos" just ______ because.

I plan to balloon to the boulders tomorrow.

I'm getting a SUP board to travel to boulders. Pad on back, no worries. I wonder if a sea kayak would be big enough to carry one?

i think it should have gone in the chuffin section ;)

but seriously, i liked it. Thought there was a little to much cutting and not enough long clips of climbing. to many belayer shots. It felt a little bit like a trailer rather than a short film.

cracking first attempt

It sort of is a trailer... We have big plans. Agree on the lack of actual climbing... We ran outta battery when we tried to get some close ups sand different angles.
Cheers

Running out of battery - schoolboy error. Done it before, really frustrating.

There is a NQCV section here http://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,15554.100.html

Agree, would like to see a bit more climbing and less incidental stuff. And a shame Portland crags look so uninspiring. I think you need to think more about angles for climbing bits too.

some potential for bouldering development on the Greek island if Tinos
If by "some" you mean practically limitless potential than yes there is.  Quite amusing to see a video where I have done quite a few of the problems.

I thought it was pretty decent, but contrary to Krank, I thought it could have done with shorter edits. Also, incidentals are good in a vid, but perhaps there were slightly too many for one of this length. I liked the look of the place too and am now really keen to get down there.  Overall: good effort. :2thumbsup:

Expecially the bit to do with them waiting 5 hrs for the ferry, it is not very far to the boulders why weren't they bouldering for 4 hrs of that? Though this could be excused if it was a delayed ferry which apparently often happens due to high wind.  Non climbing highlights of my trip include watching the police at work near the ferry port, their work seems to be leaving their office every few minutes to scare the doves off the vines outside, the live pet pelican in the fish shop and the return procedure for the hire car which involved leaving it open, at the port, with the key in the drivers footwell.

I think this thread is as good a place as any for this question. I have just finished editing a short non-quality bouldering film  (it is just a friend climbing one problem) and I want to upload it to vimeo. I havn't done much to the original footage but I have added some music. My question is regarding the uploading rules I have just read about having necessary permissions to upload the video. The music I have added is obviously third party content (bought n paid for by myself) but am I breaking any rules by having it on the video, uploaded to vimeo for all to see, hear etc.... without some sort of special permission... ??? I apologise if this is a no brainer and I am being incredibly stupid.

Quote from: VIMEO
While we cannot opine specifically on the situation you are referring to, adding a third party’s copyrighted content generally (but not always) constitutes copyright infringement under applicable laws.

Under relevant U.S. laws, should a copyright owner come across their copyrighted content on one of our sites, they can submit a takedown notification requesting that we remove the content. This same area of law affords the operator of the site some level of protection from claims of copyright infringement, when dealing with user-generated-content. The same protection does not apply to the actual poster of the content.

Again, we cannot provide any legal advice on this subject, so if you are genuinely concerned, we suggest you contact an attorney.

However, lots of the videos on vimeo use copyright protected music and I've never known one to be taken down. I use whatever music in my videos. It's always a good idea to credit the artist. There are sources of good free music on the internet, like www.jamendo.com

A little vid from my recent trip to Scotland despite the rather consistent rain I managed to get to Dumbarton a few times :)

Props to the people that showed me problems and helped film me :) Defo some sweet climbing there and psyched to head back up, hopefully stronger :)

Lemme know what you think

Taken on Saturday up at Curbar, the music really sums up the vibe of the day for me.

Nipping in under the wire before this Saturday's comp at TCA Glasgow, here's some dodgy random footage and editing from the first one, held last December.
