Since are so appreciative of the beta, I ought to point out that the last eliminate is not the alleged 7b+ listed in Ru's guide. In this clip I launch to a slopey edge (RH) a few inches below the top before going again to the jug. The hard one in Ru's guide goes direct to the jug (RH) - I haven't got any footage of that yet coz I'm too fat to do it consistently at the mo. It feels like 7b when I do get it.

Aye.
Gout and arthritis dictate the comfortable shoes (yes, really).
Good conditions mean no chalk needed; and there's is enough in-situ chalk anyway.
Careful editing means that there is no crash pad to spoil the retro effect.

Wednesday's effort on The Nose at Burbage West - squeezing the last minutes out of the very small amount of daylight available at the moment.

I would appreciate a bit of constructive critisism relating to the filming/editing of this clip (not some of the other drivel I sometimes post). I try to set myself a time limit for editing and don't get bogged down tweaking it too much, mainly becuse I don't know what i am doing.
My thoughts are - the "music" is pants; and i may have included too many different angles with not enough fade between clips.
Does it give a good idea of what is involved in doing the problem?

Comments?  The music made it feel like a cross between Ground Force and Mike Oldfield live.  But you knew that.
It started well, nice transition for the toe hook.  After that, I think you started using too many shots/ angles.  Something simpler would be better, I think.  Not at all bad though.
I assume you're on your own with a tripod.  It isn't always easy to do decent vids, I know as I have to do it that way myself.
Keep doing them though!!  Good stuff.

Quality! bit of a pain waiting for it to start to download (without an acount).
There is a way of getting better quality on pootube, whilst still using their bandwidth/space etc.
Still takes time for viewers to download it though. Works for my non-qualities.

I'm sure that an unscrupulous individual would be able to find a key on google if they looked hard enough.

I'm trying out this megaupload jobby to see if the quality is any better than pootube.

Stage6 is worth a shot for larger screen size vids at reasonable quality (good for older relatives). Viewers need to download a player thingy and you need to use their converter to turn your film into DivX, but it can work great. Viewers can chose to download or watch as streaming video.

Golt, just seen your quality vid. I cleaned the problem in '95 and arrived at the crag two days later to find my 'mate' had given the line to some youth from the peak. I pulled on my boots while a very apologetic Gav Ellis made the 2nd ascent. I think my powerful 3rd ascent looked similar to yours! Happy days!
