Dave, you are one deluded individual if you think that is a non-quality production. Some seriously smooth camera work and edits, excellent stuff. Only thing missing perhaps is the naming of some of the problems, but this doesn't detract at all from what you've made. Really should be moved into Quality bouldering videos.

Yup, dead good film. Interesting effects with the Hi8 and higher light intensities, for example reflecting off Gaskin's head. Nice one.

Thanks for those comments. Well worth picking up a cheap super8 camera on ebay and shooting a few rolls.

Out of interest, how did you transfer it from the old style Super8 to the modern electronic? Do you get Super8s with line outputs?

My birds brother works for a production company and he got it transferred on their telecine machine.

its a small video of an italian strongman doing karma. its very average, but, despite the fact that i know the climber and hes not funny at all, his g/f joy really turned this into a very nice video.

recently i did something very hard, that i had been thinking about for the whole winter (stupidly didnt include it in the ticklist). i managed to do it somehow, with noone in sight, just my girl spotting. the following day, at home, i found a note from her on the table, that read: "i never thought that a boulder problem could make me this happy".
