Any cool cats attending Pendulum at the Chibuku shindig this coming weekend in Liverpool? And if not, here's your advert for it.

I saw Pendulum at Global Gathering last year, totally rocked the place. Was then blown away as we saw them do a live version of Fasten your Seatbelt with the Freestylers.

Amazing!!

Does anyone know if they are doing another album? The fisrt one is awesome, infact its in my CD player in my car as we speak.

I think Vivahate means Paul Taylor from the wall; it's his birthday and he's getting people together to attend said concert.

Anyway, looks likely that me and Caryl are going and a few others I know may be too.  I'm keen to get fucked up to the sound of Pendulum, but also dig Tane, Futurebound, Loz and others that are playing.  A guy from Nightmares on Wax is playing too.  We shall avoid Soulwankwax like the plague.  Because they suck.

You going then Monolith?

Oh yeah, Mr Scruff and Carl Craig are playing as well.  All the more reason to avoid Too Many DJ's/Soulwax.

I've been getting hassle off the guys to go for my birthday. Think they've block-booked some tickets so most likely there.

I'm witya Ben! Shall drop you a line this week man.

And vivahate...I might well be seeing you in a matter of hours if you're coming to Ysgo.

yeah I did mean Paul Taylor, thought he'd have asked you.

2manyDJs are so bad live, but there are enough other good DJs to compensate. Q-Bert is worht checking out, amazing scratch DJ;

2manyDJs are bad full stop.

I forgot about Q-Bert.  I concur, defo worth checking out.

Have a good time at Porth Ysgo today guys.  You lucky b*stards should get a good day there.  I will attempt not to think about it whilst I'm attempting to inspire young children through the medium of science this afternoon.  However, I am teaching about dinosaurs so it's not all bad.

Sadly missed the night, but heard it was excellent from those that did go. Did you get over Ben? And did you have a lovely time?

Yeah, I went along (and met up with Vivahate and the others of course).  Was very good indeed despite Q-bert being deported by immigration and Carl Craig being double booked.  DJ EASE was truly outstanding, Mr Scruff equally good and varied and Futurebound and Pendulum did the usual loud business.

The vibe in the place was great too, really friendly and no bad feeling from anyone.  It was also incredibly busy.  I've never seen the annex so as busy as when Pendulum played.  Was good to see Chibuku filling a large venue without losing their quality vibe and attitude.  Got pretty fucked up and am still a little worse for wear, but not too bad considering.

Thinking about it, it was a pretty bo day all in all.  Went to Wimberry on Saturday and had a top time in excellent conditions once the sun had gone behind the hill.  A tad windy at first but did a big circuit and climbed a couple of new things too.  Climbing on grit, clubbing and getting twatted all in one day... result.

Indeed that does sound like a quality day! There's so much good shit forthcoming. People Under the Stairs on soon too at Magnet I believe.

Anyone going to the Andy C et al night in nation 4th October?

DJ EASE played pretty early yeah but not straight away, I vaguely remember that he was on 1-2am, before C2C (who were very, very good as well - at one point managing some wicked mash up involving Chemical Bros "Block Rocking Beats" and Kalis's "Milkshake").

Have you got a flux capacitor to go back in time for that gig?   ;)

Not too sure on PUTS date viva, but will scope it out and let you know. Recording a mix tonight, so will email you guys a copy if possible.

You should both come to Wrongdezvous at the academy on Friday too, so much variety!

PUTS are playing 27th October at the Magnet. Think Giant Panda are supporting who are pretty cool.

And Bonobo is playing at the Magnet on the 25th October which should also be good.

Monolith - get a copy of your mix over to me asap!

I'm going to see Pendulum in Manchester sometime soon. Flatmate bought the tickets so that's all I know, but I'm well looking forward to it. :)
