in fact, it keeps rejecting my avatar, saying it's more than 100x100, when I know for a fact it isn't.

What format does the puppy have to be in?

That's it sorted - the code that checks the avatar against the limits is a 3rd party code fix and it looks like it ain't doing it's goddam job properly!

I'll look into it....but in the meantime I've lifted the size limit code, but will be enforcing it manually.
