The Capital Climbing Festival
September 25, 2006, 01:28:09 pm
The Capital Climbing Festival is a weekend celebration of climbing in the capital, hosted by London's three main walls - The Castle Climbing Centre, The Westway and Mile End Climbing Wall.

The Festival is centred around The prAna Triple Challenge - a masters competition in which top climbers will be competing for big cash prizes and a place on the podium. There will also be an open round where competitors will be battling it out for great prizes supplied by Snow + Rock. The winner must compete in all three rounds- both bouldering and leading!

This will be far more then just a competition. The festival will offer loads of activities, including "come and have a go sessions", slideshows, gear demos, workshops and masterclasses. We aim to entertain the whole family as well as novice climbers and seasoned veterans - a great day out for everyone.

The festival will run over two days:

14th October at the Westway and Mile End Climbing Walls from 10:00am to 7:00pm
15th October at The Castle Climbing Centre from 10:00am to 7:00pm.

For more information and to pre-register, visit the official comp website: http://www.capitalclimbingfestival.co.uk

why is there no mention of what it costs to enter? I suppose it could be a good laugh... If only the leading wasn't part of this!

Sorry that its not very clear.  Will get the web people to put it somewhere other than just the reg form

http://www.capitalclimbingfestival.co.uk/CCF%20registration%20form.doc

Its £50 for the 2 days, which includes accommodation, breakfast and transport for the weekend.  If you don't need the accommodation/breakfast its on £40.

Cheers

D

how about offering something like discounted last minute entry? Then you might get some more people... or are you just saying that to drum up more interest!?!?

i would expect all of them to be entering given it's decent prize money!  They need to fund their extravagant lifestyles somehow...

True, but he is still prepubescent and wont get pumped no matter how many moves he has to do. When you add that to the difficulty of moves he can do you have a winning formula.

Earl is in somewhere foreign. Dont know about Croxall - a likely contender, Mosely is in Maui and has retired, think Shaggy is away somewhere too.

Don't worry, you have nothing to fear. I can't afford the entry and the trip down. Should be a good laugh though...
