For me, an occassional football fan it destroyed what I thought of Zindane, e.g. intelligent footballer.

ZZ put a bummer on my evening of sexy stuff.  He was my girlfriends favourite player, but he's pissed her off now.  And last night, me too.

  :wank:

If only he'd brought his fingers to his temples and pawed the earth a bit before doing it, I could have understood.  Loon.

Materazzi probably reminded Zidane that despite having had such a glorious career he'd never played for Everton, causing ZZ to lose it in a fit of jealous rage.

Yep, had to be that. Would cause any world great to lose their rag big time if they realised they'd never played for that shower of has-been journey man and never will be boys.

The BBC's Ten O'Clock News called in experts to study the television footage of the incident and determined the following:
Materazzi's first word to Zidane was "no" before he then told him to "calm down".
He then accused him of being a "liar" and wished "an ugly death to you and your family" on the day the Frenchman's mother had been taken to hospital ill. This was followed by "Go f*** yourself".

It's all very arty until the last bit, which is all very sunday league.

If the accusations of marco calling his mother are true. i'd forgive him still one of the greatest players ever regardless, its not as if maradonna suffered particularly for the hand of god.
