5.10 V-10's ... again
May 09, 2006, 05:37:31 pm
Ok, here is the thing.

I bought two pairs of v-10s online because I couldnt get anywhere to buy them in a shop without travelling 300 miles.

I decided to buy an 8 and an 8.5. They arrived today.

Here is my problem. I am a size 8.5 in normal shoes and a size 8 in anasazi velcros. I can't decide which pair of v-10s to go for.

Any help from v-10 owners?

Cheers

The main thing you want to look for is how they feel on you.  Mine took a bit of wearing in and a mild amount of pain :)  If you want a technical fit you are only going to wear them for a small amount of time, so go for the snuggest possible

I'm an 8.5 in anasazi's and bought a pair of V10's in a 8.5 and they're way too small for me! Would go half a size up from your anasazi's. Talking old style V10's here, don't think the new ones with the 10inches of rubber accross the toe box stretch very much...

ditto that about 1/2 size up

also, I got a pair of the new ones and binned them after a month, heels just wouldn't stay on the feet (and I'm talking about normal moves here, not even heel hooking) so they really pissed me off. Stick to the old style if you can still find em

I have got the new ones and have decided to go for the same size as my anasazi velcros simply because the heels on the larger ones pop off like you said. The shoes are moderately to very painful at the moment but I am sure that that pain will drop to a mild to moderate level once they are broken in...
