I know they are good...

So what sort of foot do you have? And what size is your normal shoe size, what size V-10's do you have?

Are they good on flat crimps on 45 degree angles? (The crimps are sloping at 45 degrees too obviously) ...

Cheers

P.S. Whats wrong with my login?

my foot is quite normal i think, bit of a high arch, slightly curled "hammer" toes from wearing shoes to small.
i am a size 8 in trainers, and my v10s are 7's (old style).
i do often say "i think half a size bigger would be perfect" but when i got them leeds wall didnt have 7.5 so i got these.
new ones look like they could be the best shoe ever created. for steep stuff.

how well your feet stick to hold on a 45 board has quite alot (more) to do with your body tension as well as your shoes.

and i heard a rumor that 510 may be making a new lace up dragon which would be even better i think.
i think the shop at the foundry has them if you are in dirty sheffield.

Great shoes, my favourites on grit. I usually take a size 8.5 in non-climbing shoes and I wear an 8 in old style V10s which is pretty damned snug. My feet are broad and blunt, none of this toes-like-fingers monkey business from me. Bought a pair of the new style (rubber patch on top) in a size 8 and I can barely get them on, so looks like I'll need an 8.5 in the new style. Anyone want to buy a pair of new style 8s?

Just thought I'd add that the new ones do actually fit like the old ones, but they take a lot more breaking in. My old pairs were all size 9, and although I couldn't get a new size 9 on my foot initially, now it is broken in I would say they are pretty similar sizewise.

Try the foot in plastic bag in rock boot trick for a while...

The V-10's are awesome on the steep stuff you can really notice how much you can get off footholds, good addition to your bag alongside your normal shoes

That's good to know, thanks. With less fabric and more rubber on the shoe I guess there's less to stretch. Can get the left shoe on OK but may have to cut off one of the toes of my right foot. I'll give the bag a try before I get my shears out.

Sorry, Chappers, I'll persevere with trying to stretch them. If I've no luck then I'll let you know.

Yeah I know, body tension is important, and I think that is ok at the moment. I just find my 5.10 velcros seem to be shit on overhanging problems compared to wall problems ...

Anybody know a shop in the Bath/Bristol area that stocks them as obviously I don't want to buy online!

Cheers
