I did use the search function... nothing.

Does anyone know of any bouldering in the Berchtesgaden area?

i think that blaueis place (klem in dosage 1) isn't too far from there. Also there is bouldering in austria south of there i think...

check the blue eyes! great in the summer (1650m asl) might be some snow left at the moment.. also the hut is still closed (opens mid-may). there are some boulders (nanuk etc.) at the koenigssee down in the valley. if you are mobile the salzburg area (trockne klamm, golling etc.) is close und worth a move.

Ahah! Someone else who has been to Trockne Klammen? Went there quite a few times when I was in Salzburg:

didn't have a spotter or mat, so it was sometimes a bit hairy....just stick the rucksack on the pointiest looking rock... All good fun. Wish I'd had a guide back then, as some stuff is a tricky to find.

Also in salzburg itself is a good wall for traversing, spent many many hours there.

Where and what is golling?

Cheers Zemike. I'll have a google for Koenigssee as that's where we'll be staying, i think.

hi r-man, golling is a "secret spot"...you know the continental game of pushing new areas? (there might be access-problems or anything like that). i know just some directions and that it's excellent though limestone; pm me for details.
