Awesome period of good weather  :x

Did a couple of easy routes I've done before.
Failed on an easy route I haven't done before.
Did a couple of boring circuits of easy problems I've done before and lost too much skin.
Did a few insignificant easy problems I haven't done before.

I fucking hate being shit and I fucking hate trying to get back into climbing during the grit season  :x Biggest waste of good weather ever  :x

I hate being shit too, especially this time of year.  However, at least you're in the middle of all the action.  My last drive back from the Peak took me 6 hours.  I think I might sell the car and start spending my weekends in South Africa.

You're probably right, I've got complacent recently, I should be more focused and determined.

Although...

It's not that bad I watch DVDs when I'm on mine, so I'm basically doing what most other people are doing, but getting healthier.  I'm sure if you were superkeen about getting the fitness a DVD would be a no-no, but I'm able to keep my motivation levels higher that way.  Plus I can watch DVDs of Tv programmes so I know when to stop, 2 episodes is plenty for me.  I'm contemplating getting a wireless joypad for my laptop so I can play games, but don't know how well it'll work.

This weather has been amazing - I've been out on my bike at least every other day - the conditions have been amazing - having Wharncliffe dry at this time of year is a miracle. I reckon I've progressed more with my hucking ability this last week than I have over the past few months.

Shame we've got rain predicted again on Thursday.

I really should go bouldering but am just more psyched for learning to drop on my bike. I find it really hard to be enthused by more than one thing at once  :?

I know what you mean, it's like spinning plates. Been surfing quite a lot, and out on the rock on the weekend, could feel a sharp drop in pulling power.

We have heavy snow forecast for Thursday and Friday, so who knows what will be happening by the weekend? Kickers on the golfcourse?

Clm and I were discussing weekend missions up your way if we get some snow this winter Chris. Mrs. Obi's Uncle (not the one in California  :D ) has just bought a 'small' place in Balmoral   , no it's not the castle unfortunately, but it is a pub with 9bedrooms and is pretty handy for Glen Shee! Bring on the snow.

Ditto... I've barely surfed or ridden my bike this year as it's been climbing that has been on my mind... I reckon its OK to multi-task if you are happy to be a dabbler but if you want to actually get good at anything then you have to focus...

Its certainly project sending time.

I sent 4 long term project in the past week.  Including one today that i'd been working on for 3 years, which i didn't think would ever go.  Don't know if its down to good conditions, or a return to good form or a combination of the two.  When conditions are this good its hard not to send projects.
Fuck classes i'm out climbing all this week!

Yeah - I wish. But it wasnt bad, still a few weekends left until the only option left is to hit the beach and check out the chicks playing vollyball. Either that or dust the harness off, I know what I'll be doing

Sounds like a masterplan. You book the flights to Aberdeen and the Espace is available for taxi services if we can use one of the rooms.
