I agree with Paul for the most part.

It looks great however the campaign is quite short and certainly not groundbreaking.
The spartan AI is terrible - The don't seem capable of killing anything.
The sound isn't that impressive- its good but none of the weapons have the kind of 'oomph' like in say GOW2.
There are loads of weapons - I loved the 'Hammer of Dawn' copy laser pointer thing for calling an airstrike.
I really like the abilites things too - Jetpacks included.
Firefight is great - I always loved Horde and never played this before as I didn't bother with ODST.
Some many modes - You really can choose exactly what you want to play.
I really like the customisable armour thing. It doesn't cost you Microsoft Points - Just credits earnt playing MP.

I can see myself playing this for a long time. Or at least April next year when GOW3 comes out.

I'm pretty sure it does once your credits run out. Now I see they keep going up as I play more but this will plateau I expect.

Got sucked into Starcraft II. Pretty standard sci-fi RTS with generic story, but seems very polished and detailed. I'm enjoying it.

this is looking good.

less manic and more balanced than mw2, with some bc2 influences

havnt yet seen the bonuses you get for *taking the hill* / objectives... I think they will have to be highly incentivising... as your kill ratio obviously goes down the shitter if you arnt careful.

I'm gonna get this

Got me some doubts on medal of honour:

- single player very good, as in new environments, good story... though as always too short. It's better than MW2 single player for sure.

- all single fps these days are the warm up for the main event: online, and it aint got me hooked....

why?

well, it's a bit like battlefield, but there is a fair bit of randomness a la mw2 ( kilstreak rewards basically, which I have failed to get 1 in 3 hrs online !!).. and its too hard to see.. and the spawn sites can be covered by a sniper... and there's no killcam. killcams have their faults... but if you can cover the spawn sites then you should be revealed IMO.

example.... snow level...I spawn 6 times in a row to die in less then 1 second... by the same guy... who then gets the points to motor attack the site.

i aint good, but the game is not all I wanted it to be....

I'll hoping for the balanced version of mw2 ( black ops) to impress..

AND

coz of the EA code thingie you put in I dont think you can rent it on console to see if you would by it.. as you cant get online!!

all in all, not recommended.

It can't be as bad as Halo Reach, I played a ridiculous amount of Halo 3 online so when this came out I dutifully traded in BC2 and MW2 expecting them never to enter the machine again. That was clearly a f*ck up.

SWAT is the main redeeming factor, the single player is just not that interesting.

There is a redeeming factor.

The tier 1 mode.

Online, campaign. One life, timed for medals and global scorecard.

Single player is anti USA, interesting and tense in parts.

Mulitplayer is not for me. Me2 with no killstreaks is better.

Let's hope the radio controlled buggy with c4 on it ( really) doesn't piss me off too much
On the new MW!

I can't believe this has been put back til Nov next year (fuck you Microsoft!)
At least it gives Epic a chance to not fuck up the multiplayer again.

And this time round we're getting a beta! Yay!
Plus dedicated servers, speeded up character movement and host migration finally.

Can't wait!

Has anyone got or played either 360 kinect or Playstation move ?
I've read mixed reviews of both systems.
The kinect appears to need a lot of space and have some lag issues
The move is apparently very accurate but doesn't have any decent games to go with it yet

Its really for family gaming

I'd hold off until they've been out for a while so that any niggles have been sorted and some decent games have been written for them.

Shame but it sounds exactly the same as MW2 - corridored single player, same multiplayer. I guess why would they mess with a successful formula? I'll stick with Reach for now.

Initial 5 levels say better than MW2.

More balanced, less helo kills randomly.. More skill.

Clearer graphics.

Seems fair And fun

I recently picked up this pairing as an upgrade to my old Turtle Beach X4s as I got sick of having to swap the cables between the 360 and PS3 (and have then have no chat on the PS3) - I wanted something universal. While not wireless anymore (which I didn't really need) its an upgrade to Dolby 7.1 (from 5.1) although I can't really tell the difference.

The sound quality is phenomneal at a decent price and anyone who plays Reach, COD, MW, GOW etc competitively should consider getting a good headset like this. You really can hear where people are by footsets, reloading, where shot come from etc and it seems a pretty good advantage - No fucker sneaks up on me anymore!

You can also use them on a PC and IPods, portable DVD's etc. Well recommended.

Interesting point re getting the hard/software into the home rather than just a game sell.
Must admit I hadn't thought of that
Im still undecided if I should go for one though :-\

As mentioned in the article Xbox Kinect has already been hacked to work (rudimentarily, but improving) under linux (the guy didn't even own an X-box ).  Subsequent development of the driver is ongoing here.

Guess its likely a case of time till someone hacks the ps3 move in a similar manner.
