The multiplayer on COD5 isnt nearly as good as COD4. Most disappointing.

Quote
Nintendo will release a new WiiWare game called Rock n' Roll Climber that uses a combination of the Wii controller and Wii Balance Board to simulate rock climbing. The rock n' roll angle is a bit flimsy as far as we could tell — after the player climbs the rock wall the character celebrates by shredding on a rather conveniently-located electric guitar at the top.

It's only been announced, it's not available yet. Apparently it will be able to use the balance board - not sure how that will work?

i reckon its just a stepping motion for feet and button press on remote and nunchuck?

Looks like a balance bar on the bottom of the screen so may be like the tightrope game on wii fit.

Fair point but Q3A is Q3A, NOT Quake (although IIRC Fatality cut his teeth in Quake itself). Interesting to see there was less rail whoreage than I expected, maybe that's reserved for floater maps.

My gaming is mothballed for now (dead 360, too much other stuff to do) but Microsoft's new vision for the 360 is really something:

Does it come with a loud hailer so it can hear you over the noise of the fan and dvd player  :-\

New 360s aren't that loud. I've currently got Paul B's Elite on loan whilst he's gallivanting around Europe and it's fine.

Fallout 3 is great fun Oblivion with guns anyone.
Been playing this recently. Great fun but the end of the main quest finishing the game rather spoils the whole sandbox feel.

Luckily the Broken Steel DLC alleviates this...

for all COD4 ps3 users, perhaps give it a few days before going on line, a major glitch/hack was discovered on friday I think which enabled users to fly/float around the gaming areas with invincibility. It is majorly annoying and ruins the whole game. Infinity ward are fixing it now but it remains to be seen when this will be rectified

Been playing WOFL aka Return To Castle Wolfenstein 2 - do NOT believe the average scores and reviews because they are simply wrong.

So far, I'm about 50% in, this game does a couple of things wrong:

- the movement is very sluggish and the headbob is vile.
- it could do with more variety in enemies early on.

HOWEVER, it does a lot right, including things a lot of modern games don't:

+ it runs great even on an old box with no slowdowns on the most complex maps.
+ loading times are really really quick.
+ there are lots of secrets and exploratory little bits.
+ you get optional side-missions and some choice how you do things.
+ the atmosphere is good.
+ graphics are pretty good as are most levels.
+ the Veil dimension is really cool and adds a lot of gameplay options, most situations can be tackled in at least a few ways.
+ the deaths are good and gory.
+ weapon upgrades and stuff are fun.
+ gameplay is mostly fair and fun and keeps you on your toes.

Basically it's a good standard stylish non-groundbreaking FPS with some little diverse extras that actually add to the game rather than fucking it over.
