This Fritzl thing is so sad 

The media will obviously portray him as a heartless monster but it can't be as simple as that. To do what he did he cannot be sane. Surely the psychological examination is purely routine and just to find out why he is the way he is. It's so sad that his daughter was the victim of his madness and has been for most of her life. I'm of the opinion that there is no afterlife or second life so to see 20 years of someone's precious life wasted is gutting. What I want to know is why he waited untill she was 18? And what the fuck was the wife thinking was going on when she saw him carting food, baby clothes etc down into that bloody basement? Denial doesn't seem to cover it.

I liked the video though.

EDIT: And the kids! Will they ever lead normal lives? How will they cope with society? Will they ever recover? Nothing short of tragic.

Completely disagree, cold hard calculated actions over a protracted period are not the signature of insanity.  He should be locked up in solitary without any communication no books, no tv, no radio, no comforts whatsoever, for the remainder of his natural life.  He might then get half an idea of what he has imposed on his daughter, but will never fully understand as he knows why he is there, whereas his victim(s) didn't.

In an attempt to ignore any racist slant that might be read into your ranting by the less aware forum browser, I decided to see if there was a serious answer to this. Turns out those generous Israeli chaps are already onto it.

But more seriously, I think you are firstly comparing arab society to secular liberal democracies (and thus deeming it to be retarded) and secondly asking the important question about why members of those societies seem to have a set of beliefs that cannot support liberal secular democracies. Basically it comes down to them not getting the idea of putting effort and resources into protecting the rights of others in society who's views and values are different.
Why is this? Why are they stuck on this annoying bit of human nature? The Israelis are the same - I think its all due to something in the water.
