turns out that i had had a few to many beers in bangkok, and felt it was big news that there was a climbing wall in a bar and you boys needed to know. it roughly translates as "im on my way south soon to get some climbing in" i know it will be hot as a mother fucker.

cheers nick, turns out we headed for cambodia, now in Phnom Penh. think we will head into vietnam. cant be raining all day everyday, ill check that krabi shit out, tho i dont hold out for pulling on anthing since im now week as fish piss. starting off light and having bad guts for month and bit does you no good!!

If you're off to Vietnam have a look at Ca Na. I had to miss it as you need a ton of time, but it looks ok from the pages of a tourist guide book.

Guaranteed bouldering and lazing about at Nha Trang. Head north up the beach to Han Chong Prom, but take everything you'll need as there's nothing else there and the locals will think you crackers. If you're keen there's some more rock in the hills behind the health spa and Cham ruins. You'll need a 4x4 or relaxed scooter rental but it's there none the less.

As far as Thailand goes, there's an outdoor lead wall in Chiang Mai but it's way too expensive (and hot) and also a FREE bouldering wall in the shopping centre at the corner of the town wall (just up the road you use to get to Doi Sutep, round the corner from the hospital, nice). There's also a climbing 'shop' there too, but all they sell are wierd shoes, re-bagged chalk and that pretentious guide to Ko Tao.

You should definitely checkout Phi Phi. I spent two weeks there. The place is still pretty fucked up after the tsunami and everything but theres a really good atmosphere at the moment - and if your feeling energetic you could even lend a hand with the clean up effort.

im in krabi at the moment, the weathers ok, still prety hot but not too much rain, syill loads to do, a great cave bein beveloped with some hard boulderin. Check out ko tao for some sharp granite, even if the guide is writen by some californian hippy

yeah, will be down that way in a few weeks. been through vietnam, its hot as fuck up here, plus my climbing kit is in bangkok. passed a load o mint boulders on way from danang to hanoi. not sure i can be arsed to pull on till i get to oz and hook up with carnage. weak as fish piss tho!!!
