Rubicon = log. Just had a text from RobL (saving me a journey thanks Rob) saying it's all wet and seeping.. Ditto the tor.. :(

According to my sources so is Blackwell - Stoney is OK though - bit greasy earlier but was starting to come into nick when I had to leave at about 4.30ish.

The Tor was pretty much all dry last night. The only wet hold I noticed was the first undercut on Converter, which hasn't been dry at all yet this season. (This only applies to the bouldering, but the routes looked fine too from the floor).

I was there during the rain. Its pretty impressive to see huge amount of runoff piling down from the top of the prow and rapidly turning the RHS into a big black streak. Not so great for the Austrians camped in the carpark. Despite that, it all seemed to be drying well when we left at around lunch time.

Thanks for the info everyone - unfortunately my morning psyche has disappeared with some bad work news and the lethargy that comes from having a huge bowl of ramen for lunch :) pah.

I am thinking of heading down tonight but the forecast looks crap will the traverses area stay dry in the rain?

You should be ok as long as it isn't too windy. It was bone dry on Tuseday eve, and I've bouldered there in a thunderstorm before and stayed dry.

Was there Saturday afternoon, holds all dry and in fairly good nick, but ground wet and muddy under the traverses section with a big puddle from Toenail pie leftwards, a good incentive to not fall off!. Ground under Kudos wall mostly dry.

Bone dry atm.

Crag x and tor a bit damp though due to humidity.

As of yesterday: all the routes through the roof except the.... one left of Rubicon were dry. Kudos wall and routes were dry also. If you don't mind a paddle as the floor is wet...

Still flooded, with some big patches of seepage running down the Kudos wall today.

Hi Wil. I waded in there this morning and was as you said but word was that the crag had totally dried in the afternoon with the wind. There is a trench of water under Kudos but the ground under the Press is fine.

Update from yesterday - we waded in and found that all of Kudos wall was soaking!

Assume it's runoff from thawing out above, but nothing dry at all. The flood is still there so you need wellies just to get beyond the bridge.

Kudos Wall v dry. The warm up area was a bit damp. Bit muddy underfoot - you could have done Dangerous bros... Cavier nearly dry but big puddle underneath and about a million people walking up and down the dale.
