Better than our lawn after I over-enthusiastically sprayed several cubic meters of 'lawn-feed-and-weed-KILLER' over it. The Mrs (who, as she acidly pointed out, actually owns the thing) liked it better before.
Ornamental moss garden anyone?

Kudos Wall was good this am, well dry anyways.. kinda humid so friction wasn't awesome.. most of the warm ups around the traverse area were dry too, though some puddles.. Caviar etc looked fine..

I had the place to myself last night.
Didnt check out any of the routes but Kudos and the warm-up area where in good nic. All rock was bone dry just the usual muddy patches under warm-up.

Hows it looking at the moment? Got a lot of rain up at malham at the weekend did rubicon get a fair wack? Has the water risen up to beneath the routes?

it was all fine on Saturday, the water level is well down and conditions were OK first thing and reasonable during the afternoon (even the puddle under Rubicon was all dried up). It did get a bit slick toward evening tho.

Sorry mate, (not being a frequenter of rubicon but intending to visit soon) does this mean its dry beneath the routes but that it is closer to flooding beneath the routes?

cheers

last night it looked to be completely flooded from the bridge to the sissy, and also totally flooded from TOTBB past caviar to dragonflight etc. The bit where kudos wall is you can't see the floor from the far side so i could only guess. was a lot higher than i'd seen in previous floodings.

Ahh i see what you mean mate, damn shame as was gonna look at the sissy if malham is wet... which it seems like it is.  Suspect a dingy and wellies is the only hardcore option for rubicon routes at the moment.

Cheers

Popped in here for a look on the way home. The water level has dropped a bit. You can walk to Kudos wall with only a bit of puddle hopping and the ground under Kudos and the Sissy/Zeke is dry. Still flooded under caviar etc.

Was there on friday - everything looked in quite good nick, only a small puddle under rubicon itself.

Was up there on Monday afternoon, all seemed fine, mind you I was only on the Kudos. There were people on ropes near/on caviar though. The place up the road was almost too dry, definately needs some seepage or moisture to get the gunk off the holds.

Yes you could always try cleaning the gunk off the holds.

To be honest mate, I'm thinking someone went along when it was wet and covered it. My cleaning utensils do not stretch beyond a brush and a towel which were completely inadequate.
