what time does the sun normally go off kudos wall? I mostly go for really early morning sessions but sometimes just can't be arsed.. especially when it means leaving here at 6 in the am...

Generally about the time I have to leave.

6.30ish at the moment. Seems to me that the humidity is a bigger factor as provided there's a bit of cloud about it's still climbable before then when there's no moisture in the air.

nice one, cheers for that.. may well start coming over in the evening.. conditions first thing are usually great, especially if there's a breeze.. though getting my body to function so early can be a different matter..

Bouldering all bone dry Saturday morning and conditions were good. Unfortunately I was wank as I had the start of what's developed into a minging cold.

When was that? Didn't see that? Maybe he was just trying to get some of the chalk off?  ;) I never get anywhere on Kudos anway. I was losing all my skin on that 7a jump start to the right.

Were you one of the chaps routing at the far end?

Anyone know what the weather's been doing out that way today? I's been alternately drizzling or pissing it down all day North of Sheffield.  :(

I was there last night and it was pretty good, just a shame I couldn't say the same about my arms :-\

cragx was a bit weird, should have been good, felt sticky damp at first, but then went a bit slippy. There again it could have been my arms again.

It's stopped raining here, Ecclesall Road South / Knowle Lane junction and if I was climbing tonight I would certainly be tempted to go out as the air temperature is quite low as well.

Hope you have a good one Jasper.

Cheers Neil

i recon it should be fine - last time i was out at rubicon is pissed it down briefly and it was OK - theres a lot of tree cover at the moment which helps. Although my luck with predicting rubicon conditions will no doubt come to and end sooner or later.

Your run of luck/judgement continues dave. It was bone dry last night despite the fact that it rained quite a lot while I was there. Conditions were pretty shit though as it was quite humid and still about 16 degrees when I left around 19.45. Some holds felt ok whereas others were really soapy and at times it felt like the chalk was evaporating off my fingers before I'd actually touched the rock (this could have just been down to my ever sweating tips though).

Absolutely pissing it down at Rubicon last night but everything was staying pretty much bone dry. Conditions were rather shit though due to the moisture in the air. Weren't they Dobbin.

Yes. It should have been good, I mean I thought it felt cold tbh but there was loads of moisture in the air and everything felt spoogy. A bit of breeze is usually the Kudos afficionados friend, but it was actively blowing the rain onto the holds. Would have thought it'd be dry again today.

Yesterday the rock was fine (good enough nick for Ted to flash Dangerous Brothers! - very impressive) but the water level was up and the bottom of Caviar was flooded. The water level had dropped a bit by the time we left and it may no longer be flooded but I imagine it will leave a mudbath. Bring a tarp.

Supreme effort by superted, who lives up to his name once more - so much for a job dulling your grades! (i just need to find out where Tex is).

Rubbish yesterday - far too hot. Pretty sticky underfoot beneath caviar, but climbable. Take wellies.

Bring a tarp, wear wellies, this is sounding like more effort than its worth.
