Quicktime
March 23, 2005, 09:35:42 am
I installed my camera softwear onto my computer last night, quicktime 5 was part of the softwear. But when I then tried to watch some movies I have on a cd a message appeared saying "you may not be able to view the movie as a compressor could not be found"!! the soundtrack worked fine,

Any ideas?

try quicktime 6.  5 is long outdated now...

You can get it free from apple.com or bittorrent

Are you sure your playing .mov or .qt files though or other supported formats.  Im sure this has happened to me before and windows media player sorts it.  If it is a .mov file then theres either soimething wrong with he file or you need to update quicktime.

Cheers!

I will try quicktime 6, I guess it must be the quicktime being a bit old e.t.c because I can watch the movies on the other computer in our house.
