think that guide has been out of print for years anyway, so i can't see anyone complaining really, especially as its been superceded by load of other better guides now.

someone told me a story of being up in scotland, might have been in the CIC hut, got up one morning to find some guy walking off with his goretex. turned out the thief was up there with the communist climbing club, and saw the jacket obviously as a jacket of the people.

needless to say the jacket's owner took a different line on the matter.
