when you open a new window with internet explorer it opens a repeat of the page you opened the window from

when using firefox if you open a new window it opens it as your home page

is there anyway to make firefox work like IE

get the tabbrowswer extension- you can then just drag the url onto another part of the page and hey presto. It's a useful extension anyway...

Yeah, the tabbrowser extension will let you customise the way tabs/links/etc open up. One of the best extensions:
