What’s happened at Tilberthwaite?

Quote from: cornish
Next up, as Doylo said, someones done a shit under the route. Frankly I think everyones confused about the poo, everyone but Gresh, he's angry about the poo.

I'd forgotten about this one, that thread was gold.

This and Yossarian's other literary endeavours.

Can anyone dig out the Si-O-Connor-chased-by-the-SBS post?

Found it:
https://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,10172.msg168062.html#msg168062

Tragically copied from Scottish Climbs so we can't really claim it.

Poor old The Sausage getting hoisted by his own dabbing petard.
See first and third post. The guy in the photos being The Sausage.

(can't do the clever embedding titles)

1. Find the highlight you want to post.
2. If it’s a post from part way down a thread make sure you click on the title of that post (the bold text that says “#10 Re: Best of UKB” for example) before the next step.
3. Cut or copy the URL that’s in the address bar.
4. Start a reply to this thread.
5. Type the description of the highlight.
6. Select all the text of your description.
7. Scroll up to the row of icons above the smileys.
8. Click the one that’s a tiny globe.
9. Scroll back down to the text of your post. It will have after the text you selected and before it.
10. Put an equals sign after the l in the first brackets.
11. Paste the address of your highlight directly after equals sign so it’s in the brackets. Make sure there are no spaces or it won’t work.
12. Click Preview to check all is good. You can click the blue text in the preview box and see if it goes to the right page.
13. Post.

For anything like this you can also click quote under a post where someone’s done what you’re trying to achieve and see how they did it.

Is this it?

Wow, that's two years before I registred. Richard Simpson and Si O'Connor were OGs!

Pages 3&4 of the Significant Repeats thread are great, with classic ascents, timeless questions,PATrul’s bizarre poetry and Stevie Haston getting angry. Dave’s definition of the true all-rounder is their bathetic culmination.

It’s interested to read the first pages of any of the long-running threads for a big of perspective of how UKB’s evolved over the years. Just don’t look at the start of the RIP one.

I was just thinking that what this thread needs is some Sloper, and there he is.

Awesome!
I remembered that with fondness from lurking back then. Webbo's bit about Alpinism amounting to using a chairlift and Himalayan climbing being chapati eating was for me as much a highlight as Dave's allrounder definition. https://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,10607.msg177028.html#msg177028

Quote from Bonjoy in the significant repeats;

Quote
There are six moderators on UKB - Bubba, dave, me, Dobbin, Underground and Fatboyslimfast.

Was there some point when lightning shot down Bonjoy's sword and he became mortal? or is FBSF still officially with us?
