Not first hand knowledge but looking at a post on Peak Sport climbing the concessionary path footbridge to Kudos Wall / Rubicon routes area has been vandalised.

cragx and Litton Flyfishers have cordoned it off.

Although the damage looks mainly to the sides of the bridge and not the base, it's probably not a good look if climbers ignore the cordon to access the Kudos / Rubicon area.

They must have turned up after we left today. We noticed the side of the bridge had been smashed but there was no cordon at the time. That’s a shame!

This may have changed, but I spoke to the fishing warden a couple of years ago and that bridge was not owned by anyone at the time. He says it was built by the TA in the 1950s. Apparently this was partly why it's taking so long to get fixed, because the relevant bodies were wary of taking on the associated cost and liability.

Was over their earlier, the bridge is still open but does have ribbons along its length to try and alert people to the lack of barrier into the water. Plenty of walkers going to and from, it wasn't obvious that it was closed off. Unless of course, people have since removed the ribbon blocking the entrance/exit.
