great white

originally - because I have fantastic attention to detail, and a slightly unhealthy crimp fetish, I had started this thread with the subject - whitebait (rubicon) when the problem I'm on about is actually called Great White and is at Curbar

Excellent problem to the right of Bens wall, Curbar.

Start LH in good dish, RH to reasonable drag pocket, feet left in crack, roll over to sloper (LH) RH to good edge, left foot in good dish (from start) and flag like a god. Gain sidepull w.RH, paste RF on smear and step LF outside edge to nubbin below sidepull, lean off this to gain top?

sound right? fair at 7c.

are you askin or tellin dobbin? :?  it's called great white.

i prefer my beta for the bottom cos i'm not comfortable puttin foot in pocket. LH pocket RH pocket, LH sloper RH crimp, LF pebble RF on edge in line (nearly) with sidepull. reach RH sidepull, pick feet up n plonk RF on nubbin. flow up n miss pocket

Damn! Whitebait is at Rubbercon isn't it? Shit, sorry lads. Anyway, I'm asking rather than telling.

Ta Dense, that was something we looked at briefly, the top looks a scary jump/pop - is that right?

Pocket is hard to catch, tho not as bad as the one to the left. Don't think it has been topped out.

I thought Huffy's comment implied he had topped out:

Quote from: "Huffy"

does anyone know if Great White has been topped out before?

Huffy

but I could just be reading it wrong...it wouldn't be the first time.

'Match and drop off' problems ain't real problems. If it can be done, it should be. Not that I'm sure it can be... and dirt ain't the problem.

Not checked thread for ages, sorry to give a false impression. I've not topped it out or even tried to, jus remember doing it to the pocket a couple of years ago and wandering whether top out was worthwhile. would be scary no? :o

huffy is clearly the master of the double-tap - i'd hate to be the wrong side of huffy with a glock.

huffster, do you ever find yourself going to turn the telly on, press the button, sit back to watch then realise you also turned it off at the same time?

I dropped a rope down the top a long while back.

It's totally escapable.

It looks V. hard but actually you do one awkard move right and then literaly walk up the ramp thing - shame.
