Interesting to see how much of the coastal areas of northern Scotland escaped the snow. The effect of the sea I guess.

Yup. And lack of altitude to a lesser effect even a but of 30 m or so sea cliff seems to have a block the effect of the sea; we live 200 m for the seabed the crow flies and always have more on the ground than in city centre. But we often get a lot less than even 10 miles inland and a lot less than you guys in the peak

The Mars rover is great, worth following on Twitter.

Is there any further detail as to how to "scale in the approved fashion"?

I assume by this they mean humping out some scrittley sloping topouts?
