That owl is great, good find Bubba.

The first pic is no longer linked as I replaced it with a slightly cropped version to remove the edge of the fire engine...

Me, Dense and Somebody's Fool were over at Remergence. Even over there it stank!

Yes.  Tao.

I have a piece of film somewhere, I'll try to up.  It's this view getting redder and redder over a few minutes:  sublime.

Go to Tao.  It's bull that the hardest problem is V10; pure shit by people who don't know the island at all.

You don't have to convince me!

What do you reckon to Gaz downgrading all the hard stuff? I can't in a millions years see that M150 is V8+! Maybe when the balcony was not directly underneath you for the crux.....

Got the impression from both Nalle & Gaz's blog that they didn't get to know the climbing on Tao very well at all.

Thats an amazing capture.

Reminds me I saw a sea eagle doing a similar spot of fishing on the way back from Phi Phi Lei to Don.  Didn't have my camera ready (or own a decent lens ).

This is a real photograph of an atmospheric phenomenon known as a circumhorizon(tal) arc, the example shown above was captured on camera as it hung for about an hour across a several-hundred square mile area of sky above northern Idaho (near the Washington border) on 3 June 2006.

In general, a circumhorizontal arc (or "fire rainbow") appears when the sun is high in the sky (i.e., higher than 58° above the horizon), and its light passes through diaphanous, high-altitude cirrus clouds made up of hexagonal plate crystals. Sunlight entering the crystals' vertical side faces and leaving through their bottom faces is refracted (as through a prism) and separated into an array of visible colors. When the plate crystals in cirrus clouds are aligned optimally (i.e., with their faces parallel to the ground), the resulting display is a brilliant spectrum of colors reminiscent of a rainbow.

Never heard of it before, pretty amazing.

And some criminal photoshop using the same image

I saw this in Connemara (although not as impressive as the photo above) and wondered what it was. It's beautiful!

These workmen are installing bollards to stop cars parking on the pavement outside an Irish sports bar.
They are cleaning up at the end of the day. How long do you think it will be before they realize?
Simply. Genius.

What? A native American dancing on top of a horse. Those late nights in Letterfrack can get to you after a while......

And what a nice place to see weird things at... Wandering down to the bay at 2am to skim stones was nice. Oh, for anyone going to Letterfrack: Don't get involved with any darts matches in Molly's bar- huge arguments between locals kick off about them, and they get very "passionate" about them...
