would be good (although perhaps unimplementable) to see some sort of index of users by location. This would perhaps be useful for people wishing to meet other local boulderers. If people were able to contact one another and maybe liftshare, us boulderers would be doing our bit in the ecomiles stakes!

But anyway, in answer to your question - it's a matter of privacy, some people don't want others to know where they are from, but if they do I'm sure they will let you know if you put out a request for somebody to boulder with, etc.
