Although they haven't yet updated the links on the front page of Mozilla.org, here it is, the first public release:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/1.0/

Remember to uninstall your existing version version first.

btw -  if you don't delete the actual program directories, but just use add/remove programs to uninstall (assuming windows of course), the new version should detect your themes/extensions folders.

- Standards compliant :: it renders websites how they are supposed to be seen

- Secure :: any vulnarabilities are patched asap, unlike Internet Explorer which is now about 5 years out of date.

- Themes :: lots of cool themes for customisation of the look and feel

- Extensions :: you can customise it to do almost anything with the loads of extensions available (eg the bbcode extension for posting here).

- Tabbed browsing :: hardly a brand new feature these days but still better than IE

It's built in - tools/options/save current pages will save all open tabs.

Nope, don't get that problem with the usernames

ok one-time honkies, i've found something that pisses me off in firecox: on the dropdown list under the addressbar, all the history isn't sorted with the most recent at the top (i.e. usefull) like in IE, its in some other (i.e. useless) order. any ideas?

I'd not noticed that coz I never use that dropdown but had a quick search of the mozilla forums and it appears you're not the only one to be bugged by it.

You'll probably have to wait for an extension to be written.

Talking of extensions - I couldn't live without the super drag and go and recommend everyone tries it out:

Also, the tabbed browser extensions rock:

And of course the bbCode extension is invaluable for posting on forums.

Anyone else recommend brilliant extensions?
