I'm 1/2 hour the wrong side of stoke when it comes to getting to the peaks, so i guess it's swings & roundabouts (ideally we'd all live in Sheffield i guess ).  If (when?) creation wall gets up and running, it should be easier to get to for you Stoke-types (straight down the m6, on to the m5 for a junction or two).  Also, there's rumours of a wall starting up in Shrewsbury, http://www.ukclimbing.com/forums/t.php?n=105658&v=1, post number  21.
