Shout out to Paul at Crusher holds.

I ballsed up my order and received mono pockets instead of the duos which I'd intended to order for a 45'. I sent them back and the duos have just arrived, no quibbles. They are immaculate, really nice holds.

He didn't accept my offer to pay for postage again. A gent. Thanks Paul.

Ha, I have just come on to post on a another subject and spotted this! Thanks Jonathan, glad it alls worked out. I have unwavering sympathy for any ordering mess ups, it is something I am not immune from myself at times :)

I'm posting to gauge if there is any interest in people wanting/buying offcuts! Offcuts that are basically half way to a hold but would require some shaping/sanding and a couple of holes drilled.
I basically have a lot, and I mean a lot (enough to fill a large estate car) of offcuts, for example ends of campus rungs, a lot of the basic board holds I do, pinches, small blocks... Its all stuff that is slightly smaller than standard, or just cuts off ends before machining etc. Some big, some small. Quite difficult to describe it all, other than to say I have kept everything that looks like it could be fashioned into a usable hold. Kept with that intention, but I'm trying to clear up workshop space.

Cost wise, the fairest way is probably just going to do it by weight. Which will be far less £ than the cost of buying the wood trade. Plus some postage on top.

If there is any interest Ill knock a big bag together and stick a price up. If not, so so, Ill stick em in the log burner :)

Hi Paul, very possibly. We have a club wall/boards. I’ll need to get an answer from the others so will let you know if they’re keen. Thanks.

Vultures assemble.

Ok lovely, Ill put together a few bags of various mixes and post up some photos :)

Is anyone very familiar with So iLL holds? We bought a few sets second hand when we opened and the plastic just seems so shit. I think that it's a bit soft and because of that it lost all friction. Even when I tried recoating with epoxy it cracked of the first day because it's impossible to adhere to the slick surface.

Is this the case with all So iLL or are we just unlucky?

Deffo seen a lot of their holds looking worse for wear, the ones that are translucent PU seem to be particularly soft, whereas the more solid looking blob ones seem to have fared better where I’ve seen them.

Has anyone ever smoothed resin holds? I've got some new core jugs on my board for doing circuits but it's pretty rough on the skin. I was wondering if some sandpaper, plastering them in chalk, or something else could smooth them out a bit faster.

I have some spares which I can experiment on but wanted to ask first.
